Despite the wind power that covered 41% of all electricity used in Denmark during the first half of 2014, Denmark is among the world’s top 4 polluters, just after Kuwait, Qatar, United Arab Emirates. Researchers at the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) measured how countries around the world consume fossil fuels and looked at other relevant factors including forestry, fishing and farming methods. If everyone in the world lived like a Dane, the global population would need the resources from about 4.5 Earth-like planets. The report also found that world populations of fish, birds, mammals, amphibians and reptiles fell overall by 52 percent between 1970 and 2010. Danish based Maersk company pollute the nature more than the whole Denmark together. Ane Maersk Mc Kinney Uggla is the owner of Maersk company, and her son Robert will inherit company after her, their private address is (300m from the headquarter): Toldbodgade 36A, 4 (floor), th (th means on the right), 1253 Copenhagen K.
Since September 2016, Robert is the second person in company, after his mother Ane that is Number 1. Rich people always make many companies or holdings or foundations, but Ane and Robert office address is Esplanaden 15, just beside their Maersk HQ in Esplanaden 50. Maersk family are the exploiters that profit from the war for oil, they are connected with military intelligence, they finance politicians too. Consequently, the politicians and their repressive forces are serving the interest of this family. This family is the government from the shadow, Danish state departments are doing everything for them, although in the last 3 years, the CIA and American banks corrupted Danish politicians too. Beside it, the father of Ane who died in 2011, Arnold Mærsk, got the right/concession on all Danish energy resources from 1962-2042, fucking 80 years. Who knows how much money he gave to the politicians to get such contract with the government in 1962.

Of course, they have shitty explanation that they pollute less than competitive transport of products with the air, train, trucks, etc. But they “forget” to say that air freight would never succeed to transport so many products as cargo ships, therefore, it would be smaller pollution if companies don’t use cargo ships. Simply, instead of 100 million shoes, Europe would get 10 million shoes from China.

What is so big deal with cargo ships and the nature/pollution?
April 23, 2009 The Guardian has reported on new research showing that in one year, a single large container ship can emit cancer and asthma-causing pollutants equivalent to that of 50 million cars. The low grade bunker fuel used by the worlds 90,000 cargo ships contains up to 2,000 times the amount of sulfur compared to diesel fuel used in automobiles. The fuel used in ships is waste oil, basically what is left over after the crude oil refining process. It is the same as asphalt and is so thick that when cold it can be walked upon. It’s the cheapest and most polluting fuel available and the world’s 90,000 ships chew through an astonishing 7.29 million barrels of it each day, or more than 84% of all exported oil production from Saudi Arabia, the worlds largest oil exporter. Shipping is by far the biggest transport polluter in the world. There are 760 million cars in the world (in 2009) emitting approx 78,600 tons of Sulphur Oxides (SOx) annually. The world’s 90,000 vessels burn approx 370 million tons of fuel per year emitting 20 million tons of Sulphur Oxides. That equates to 260 times more Sulphur Oxides being emitted by ships than the worlds entire car fleet. (In 2014, there are over 100,000 transport ships at sea, of which about 6,000 are large container ships.)
Most of cargo ships are produced in China 35%, Japan 27% and South Korea 21%. Maersk Triple-E-vessels are made in South Korea (the video of engine room:

Beside owning more than 600 cargo ships, Maersk company owns and operate 3 triple-E-vessels, each worth USD 190 million, it can load 18 000 containers with products (that’s for example 110 million pairs of shoes), it needs 20 days to come from Shanghai to Spain, each day spending 80 000 liters of fuel, one ship uses twin engines each 43 000 HP (horse power). 80K liters per day is very much although they try to lower damage with comparing it with other cargo transport (air freight 560 gram CO2 per tone per km, E vessels 3 gram CO2), but triple E vessels can load 165 000 tones, x3 grams CO2 per kilometer and there are many kilometers from Shanghai to Britain. The destination ports of this vessels are just several, because not all ports have so big cranes (73m high). Triple-E-Vessels are coming to: Algeciras in Spain, Rotterdam, Bremerhaven, Felixstowe.


Maersk line operate 605 ships/vessels, 430 vessels are operated by Svitzer, 70 vessels by Maersk supply service. Maersk Line’s vessels (605) travel 50 million nautical miles every year, nautical mile = 1.852km = 92 600 000 kilometers (x3 grams CO2 per kilometer per tone). The environmental impact of shipping includes greenhouse gas emissions, acoustic, and oil pollution. Air pollution from cargo ships (engines use bunker oil) is human carcinogen. Cargo ships use a huge amount of ballast water that contains a variety of biological materials, including plants, animals, viruses, and bacteria. Noise pollution caused by shipping can damage marine species who may rely on sound for their orientation, communication, and feeding. There is also collision between whales and ships. The greatest danger to the North Atlantic right whale is injury sustained from ship strikes. Between 1970 and 1999, 35.5 percent of recorded deaths were attributed to collisions.

The structure of the company is changing these years: In 2013, the owners decided to create A.P. Moller Holding that will own shares of different Maersk departments. The Maersk Group (A.P. Moller – Maersk A/S), includes several departments that are mostly the idea of owners to: have their own production of oil for their big ship fleet, and to give to customers ready solution and not only cargo with ships (Maersk give them and transport of products to the port, in that way, they take more money from customers).
Transport and logistic department include several parts of Maersk company: Maersk line, APM terminals in ports, Maersk container industry, Svitzer, Damco. Energy department includes: Maersk oil, Maersk drilling, Maersk Supply Service, Maersk Tankers.
Maersk also operates a chain of supermarkets (68% of Coop that operates next food-stores: Irma, Fakta, SuperBrugsen, Kvickly).
